Welcome to Summer Hunt VII
Hosted by the Shire of Earnrokke July 24-26, 2011
The entire site is an active equestrian area and under the rules and regulations of SCA Equestrian Activities. The Site Autocrat, Shire Seneschal and Equestrian Marshals are responsible for maintaining the safety and welfare of all participants, riders and non-riders alike.  Respect all of the signage, fences and other lines of demarcation.  The EMIC has ultimate opinion and authority regarding any Equestrian Safety issues and Equestrian regulations. Equestrian Waivers must be signed by everyone on site. No exceptions.  Bring insecticide and sun block!
SITE RULES
No glass containers around the horse and dog areas.
No open fires on the ground. Firepits, tikis, or BBQs are OK
Long pants and heeled boots are strongly recommended for         everyone when around horses.
Pack out all trash.  Do not use wash station to clean dishes.
Horses have the right of way. Do not trust that the rider has         control over the horse.
Electric fencing is in use and may not be marked.  Be                   careful!


CHILDREN (under 18)
Are required to wear helmets, long pants,  boots while on             horseback. No pony rides permitted as per SCA Equestrian         Regulations.
Must be under supervision at all times. (Beware of ponds             and woods.)
Please keep children away from horse paths and out of               corrals and paddocks. Do not feed or pet the horses or                dogs without the express permission of the horse owner.

EQUESTRIANS and DOG OWNERS
Maintain a walk in the presence of pedestrians.
Only tie up horses at the hitching areas, in the paddocks, or       at their horse trailers. Horse Practice areas are ONLY the 2         Equestrian Designated areas: within the bounds of the                 Horse Corral pasture and the Hunting Preserve. No horse           practicing permitted elsewhere.
Are responsible for the care, feeding, watering &                          manure/feces pick up of their pets.
Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Saturday, July 25
   8:00am #2 Authorization/practice session for Riders
   9:30am Opening Court @ Aquaterra Baronial Pavilion
                immediately followed by Rider Auction                                                               w/ Betting Man’s Guide and Hunt Guild Meeting
          Silent Auction open till 4 pm near Aquaterra BP
  10:00am       All Championships, A&S,  Marshal Lysts,                                                   & Hunter Persona Challenge, & Contests open
  11am-12:30   Sir Jerald Memorial Equestrian Chp
  11-4 pm  Baron Olafr Memorial Thrown Weapons                             Championship
   1-2 pm   Baron Julian Memorial Archery Championship
   2-3 pm         THL Karl Redstone Memorial Heavy Weapons                                   Championship
Rapier Tourney
    4-5 pm   A&S Championship judging
                        Dog Barding Contest
    6 pm     Potluck Feast featuring Closing court,                                                presentations, & shire champion                             investitures. All invited to enter Best Hunting                             story contest.
